Where is Mackay, Idaho?
Mackay is in Central Idaho, just east of Sun Valley and west of Yellowstone National Park.
Take HWY 93 north from Twin Falls, Idaho.


What type of services does Mackay, Idaho have?
Mackay is a small friendly community which boast a population of 500+ residents (more in the summer). Mackay has a full service grocery store, two convenience stores, two service stations, 7 places to get something to eat, 2 banks & ATM's, a NAPA parts store, 4 bars, and much, much more.
Mackay welcomes you to their great city. Mackay is surrounded by the highest peaks in Idaho. Mackay is sometimes referred to as the "Top of Idaho."

When is the Rally?
The Rally begins Thursday, July 6th, 2017.
Registration check in is in the Rally Park arena Thursday, July 6th between 12:30pm and 4:00pm and again Friday morning 8:00am. You MUST have your Confirmation Letter for the check in. There is no check in available on Saturday.

How do I register for Rally In The Pines?
General Registration opens December 2nd.
You can register online, please click here to register.
You can register by phone: 208-241-8596.
For the best selection of group rides, please register early, on-line or by phone.
You will receive a confirmation within 72 hours of registering. Please print off your confirmation and bring it with you to the Rally In The Pines check in. Your confirmation is your ticket in!
You will have to wait until everyone else has checked in if you do not bring your confirmation with you. On Thursday, July 6th at 4:00pm is the ONLY time we will be able to pull up confirmations for those people who do not bring it with them. We accept paper printouts of confirmations and electronic copies on your phone or Ipad.


I have a group of people coming. How can we all ride together?
Have everyone in your group register for the same rides on the same days. Please make sure to check all of the confirmations to make sure all of the rides are at the same times.

Where Can I Stay In Mackay?
There is camping at Rally In The Pines.

Fairgrounds dry camping on the fields adjacent to the fairgrounds. There is some grass and trees and toilets in the immediate area. Showers are available within a few blocks away at The Wagon Wheel Motel and RV Park and at the laundromat.

Please fill your tanks with water before you arrive at Rally Park.
All dumping is prohibited in Rally Park and the Rally Campground. RV dumps are located close by.
You can reserve your camping space when you register. Only 1 campsite per registration. Minimum 3 nights.

Gates open for camping arrivals on Tuesday, July 4th at 4:00pm. The camping for the rally ends Tuesday, July 11th at 10:00am. You can reserve up to 7 days.

Showers are available at two places that are just a few blocks from Rally Park. A
Coin operated showers on Pine Street and showers for $3 at The Wagon Wheel Motel & RV Park.


There are Hotels/Motels/Cabins/RV Parks in Mackay and in the Town of Arco, Idaho. The town of Arco is only 20 min away.

What should I bring with me to Rally In The Pines?
Bring an ATV, Side X Side or dirt bike. The Mackay area should be warm in July, but bring warm clothes and rain gear, just in case. Bug spray is a good idea. Bring everything that you normally take when you ride. And if you fish, defiantly bring your fishing pole and tackle. Mackay has GREAT fishing. We will have maps available to great locations to fish.
Always carry extra gas on all rides!

Is my dog welcome at Rally In The Pines?

Yes, your dog is very welcome at Rally Park and on the rides. We ask that your dog be on a leash in the Rally Park area and that you clean up after your dog.

Do I need to register my ATV or Side X Side in the State Of Idaho?
ATV Licence
As long as you have a valid registration from another state, you do not need to register your ATV or Side X Side in Idaho. If you do not have a valid registration sticker from another state, they are $12 in Idaho and here is a link to locations you can get one at: If you need to register your machine in Idaho, make sure to bring your title & drivers licence with you!! I would suggest that you go to Oasis Stop N Go, just 5 blocks from Rally Park, in Mackay.

The restricted vehicle license plates are not required to ride in the City of Mackay, on BLM land or Forest Service roads and trails.
Operator must carry proof of registration and insurance.
ATV's and Side X Sides can be operated on all city roads in the city of Mackay..
Helmets are required for all passengers 17 years of age and younger.

Ride Change policy:
The first two ride changes for you or your group are made at no charge. The third ride change is $5 per person. All additional ride changes after the third ride change is $10 per person. (This does not apply to adding additional people to the ride you are already signed up for, space permitting)
All ride changes must be in writing.

Refund policy:
All refunds will be less a $10 admin fee per person up to 4/20/17.
No camping refunds after the particular camping area is full.
All cancellations with request for refund must be in writing and received no later that end of day (5pm) on 4/20/17. Please include the last 4 digits
of the credit card used to register.
No refunds after 4/20/17
All refunds are done through Paypal.
